The Sonospace website splits up into a magazine and a sound archive. They both interconnect with some of the wider issues that we see over the course of our contributors’ research projects and represent our mission to bring interesting and thoughtful content to the wider world.
We archive for the global community and investigate the environment around us through field recording, case studies, articles and photo journalism. It is a resource that takes a geographical approach with its research and documentary analysis and although we are heavily inspired by the audio landscape we are committed to also presenting exciting images, videos and textual accompaniments.
Also, geographic research is an inspiration and not an end in itself. Art, culture, history and music are all entwined in our core principles. Geography is an umbrella from which we work under, a starting point to investigate the multifaceted environment around us.
