Journal of Sonic Studies 10 – Mapping the Field

sonic studies journal

It’s always a good day when you realize there’s a new issue of the Journal of Sonic Studies. This time I’m a bit late on it, since it was published a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, still fresh!

This new publication, number 10, is a proceedings issue of the second international European Sound Studies Association Conference 2014, which main topic was “mapping the field”, focusing on research process towards sound art, design, writing, history, etc. This issue features writings by eight contributions of the conference, which in addition to give an interesting perspective on the conference’s ideals, also offers interesting topics for sound studies as such.
