Bird Sounds is a Google A.I. experiment created by Kyle McDonald, Manny Tan and Yotam Mann, as a collaboration between Google Creative Lab, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Macaulay Library using an open source code.
The experiment uses machine learning technology to organize thousands of bird sound recordings, not by tags or names, but only using audio analysis, evident in the sonograms and the sonic qualities you can hear in the interactive map at the site, where similar sounds are placed close together.
