sonic close-ups 11: franz rosati

Franz Rosati is an electronic musician, sound & visual artist, active from 2006 with live Audio/Visual concerts, interactive installations, artworks and prints, based on the same concepts and a coherent aesthetic output and custom made software developed by the artist himself. Most typical traits of his work reside in the singularity of sonic events, the building of dynamic and timbric gradients opposed to the sudden breech of progressive and tensive crescendos. Audio-reactive visual structures, resulting from complex mathematical algorithms applied to generative and procedural CGI, play a main role during live concerts, conveying another level of fruition strictly connected to the sound. Franz Rosati is founder and curator of Nephogram Editions, an independent publishing house for sound art and electronic music, and lecturer for Interactive Technologies for art and multimedia for festivals and art academies.
