Listening Across Disciplines, New Program at Resonance FM

Listening Across Disciplines, a recent project by Salomé Voegelin and Anna Barney dedicated to inter-disciplinary exploration of listening, now has a radio program at Resonance FM.

Produced and edited by Voegelin, the program is focused on presenting “methods of listening as they are used by astrophysicists, urbanists, architects, audiologists, artists, anthropologists, writers, neurologists and more.”

It broadcasts on Wednesdays and is also available to listen at Mixcloud. The first episode is already available online, featuring Raviv Ganchrow from the Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In 45 minutes, “Ganchrow discusses interdependencies between sound, place, and listening, which he explores through installations, writing, and the development of pressure-forming and vibration-sensing technologies.
