LEA Editions has published a fantastic release on Dallas Simpson’s work.
At LEA Editions we are happy and proud to receive the work by Dallas Simpson. This monographic is the first of many documents offered as collections of reports or gatherings of works by different artists. In this first instance we decided to enroll Dallas Simpson, a British artist who has for many years investigated the relationships between soundscapes, binaural recordings and environmental improvisation.
The two works presented in this compilation originated from different acoustic geographies, yet both shed some light upon the singular working method of Dallas Simpson. This document also contains four unreleased videos exploring Simpson’s approach to sound, environmental improvisation and his working methods. We also asked Dallas to answer our questionnaire that will soon be available in English, following the whole documentation.
