illuha – akari

12k1080To talk about harmony in works such as this wonderful album by Illuha, is to talk about the conjunction of not only beautifully assembled sound fragments, but also stirring spaces, emotive paths, and fluids capable of exposing a very unique way of unity. By blending microsonically arranged sources, this prolific duo gets out of predefined ways of sound composition in order to construct exotic environments that are free of pretensions but full of details. Instead of fixing audible matter through obvious procedures, they seem to opt for a deep connection to nature’s unexpectedness, thus delivering effective frequency movements and drones that are constantly followed by sonic microorganisms, forming together a place that keeps constant balance without stopping to create the feeling of being nowhere, searching for that light (akari) that’s created within all cosmic forces, a sway of friction and release.
