Excerpt of “Silence”, a film about field recording

The Wire has published a nice excerpt from a film about field recording, called Silence.

Watch an excerpt from a film tracing the fictional travels of a field recordist through north west Ireland. Silence is reviewed by Dan Barrow in The Wire 354.

Silence tells the story of a field recordist (played by Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde, also co-writer of the film with director Pat Collins) who returns to his native Ireland after 15 years living in Berlin, spending his days wandering through north west Ireland and recording the soundscapes.

Silence is released in the UK by New Wave Films – it will be showing in UK cinemas in early August. Click here for more information.
