Call for Contributions: Klingt Gut! 2nd Symposium on Sound, Hamburg 2016

The Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and the AES Student Section of Hamburg have announced the second version of the klingt gut! Symposium of sound, featuring hundreds of participants as well as dozens of speakers. This year year it included important figures such as composer and sound theoretician Michael Chion and Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos.

The symposium will be held at the Arts and Media Campus in Hamburg, 26-28 May 2016, featuring artists and researchers from several sound-related fields such as sound design, sound art, electroacoustic music, aesthetics and technology. Tickets for participating will be available on January 1st, 2016; however, there’s a call for contributions already opened, both for papers/lectures as for artworks.

Themes for this year are the following audio semantics and linguistic implication on sound; immersive and 3D-Audio and Virtual Reality; sound design, sound art and musique concrète; ethnomusicology and philosophy of sound/media; interfaces for music and sound; sound art, soundscapes and musique concrete; sound and/or video installations; sound design for film cross media art; interactive design and art,
